Mirror’s Edge “on the list” for a comeback, says EA’s Gibeau

Mirror's Edge

Fans of Mirror’s Edge can tentatively rejoice, as EA are looking at bringing it back some time, in the future, probably maybe. “We love Faith. We love the property,” said EA Labels president Frank Gibeau to GameInformer magazine. “It’s on the list. It’s just about looking at what teams are available, who’s got the right quality approach to it, and who understands it.”

Gibeau infamously teased us all back in 2011 by hinting that he was “sure” we would see a combination of the Frostbite 2 engine and Mirror’s Edge in the near future. Oh well – you can’t spell “tease” without “EA”, as they say.

Oooh, been wanting to replay this recently. Quite a good game and if a sequel could improve upon the game in the more lacking areas (story, length) then I’d buy it.

I literally finished another play through yesterday (Trying it out on eyefinity, and it was awesome!).

I would very much like a sequal :>

Good to hear, really enjoyed the first one.

Wonder if they can find the time in between churning out sequels for other games >_>

^^ exactly. with dice otherwise occupied.

Funny I thought I heard them saying a little bit back that they would never make another one of these. When you run out of ideas for new games I guess nothing is off the table.

I thought they had confirmed this already? Regardless, one of my all time favourites.

Let us hope they actually work on a story the second time around…

In other doubleposting news: Mirror’s Edge is $2.49 from Steam for next hour or two (how apt)…
