Do you like realistic, authentic military shooters? Seems like they’re the only genre people are clamoring for these days, and yet the latest Kickstarter project promising exactly that is falling well short of its target. Ground Branch is being developed by former Valve and Red Storm employees, who worked on the original Ghost Recon games, so it’s not like it’s a bunch of nobodies saying, “Give us all your money!” And yet, with 22 hours to go (at the time of this writing), the project has barely a quarter of what it’s asking for, at $104,000 of $425,000.
If it sounds like something that interests you, there’s still time to pledge money, and if, say, you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know how Kickstarter works, I’ll remind you that money won’t be taken from you unless the target is met, the game is made, and the rewards are given.

I’m surprised Pal-zero hasn’t pledged $300,000 for a game promising a DRM free version. tuttut
hmmm so many kick starter projects, I’m not willing to pledge money to companies where there’s no proof that they will deliver on their promises
it would have to be from eb games as well
Shame about this one, been looking forward to it since I first read about it, but it’s not over till the fat lady sings (at least that’s what I’ll keep telling myself till the last minute)
Most of the games I’ve seen/backed on KickStarter offer a DRM free version
I feel the same way, I pledged money to Project Takedown and there have since been two or three similiar projects which offer similiar promises and you can never know for sure who can or cannot deliver.
I find usually “realistic” and “authentic” are interpreted as *not fun*. Oversimplifying the subjective matter in a somewhat ignorant manner.
Or a game other than ArmA in the category is considered almost blasphemy. Despite ArmA having many flaws and there being a lot of potential in the genre for other games to explore.
Shooters are a dime a dozen, you can’t expect them to be funded on Kickstarter when there’s so many out there already.
The article is incorrect, or I might be reading it wrong.
Your money is locked in as soon as the target is met and it is taken out once the time limit comes to a close.
