Many people are calling it “Sci-Fi Minecraft“, and they’re not far off: the name of the game is StarForge, and it’s a free indie offering from a couple of very enthusiastic dudes who call themselves CodeHatch. With infinite procedural terrain, a deformable, constructable landscape, and no loading screens, it’s another reminder that indie games are the bestClick here to download it from the GON file mirror, or watch the trailer below for more.

I have been following this game for two years now, and the game has so much potential. The final product of this game may be amazing, and I truly hope it is. However, I do not see it reaching all the goals that helped convince me to support it two years ago. With that said, It is definitely more fun to play with friends than solo at this point of development.

even though the history of the game development has me worried, I wish the developers good luck in their attempts to deliver an awesome game.
