Dead Space 3 to be Cover Shooter, Feature Co-Op, Drop Multiplayer

EA’s upcoming Dead Space 3 has been confirmed to be introducing a cover-based mechanic similar to those found in Gears of War or Mass Effect. It will also pack a co-op feature where players can play as both Isaac or Carver, the man from the Dead Space graphic novel, while the competitive multiplayer from Dead Space 2 has been scrapped. New enemy types are promised, including twisted humans who have been forced to feed on infected Necromorphs to survive, and a 30-story-tall Necromorph centipede called ‘the Nexus’.
